Abstract Thought Event Promotions was originally founded as a way to give Toronto bands an outlet for their creativity while building their fan base at the same time. Many Toronto bands have formed with much instant independent success. Friends and family will usually be very supportive of new bands, however once friends and family have seen the act a couple of times, it may seem to become stale and mundane. Without exposure to new fans and different crowds it is impossible for the fan base to grow and unfortunately, this is where many bands fail.

                 At Abstract Thought Event Promotions we are dedicated to getting the word out on your band. There are hundreds of talented musicians who aren’t making it in the industry simply because they do not have the knowledge or the means to properly promote themselves. Abstract Thought was founded and by people who have been playing the Toronto music scene for years and already have a grasp of things like advertising and sponsorship. We will not only book your band into great venues with amazing crowds but we will offer your band consulting on new and profitable ways of getting your name out in the industry. Our three pronged Advertising strategy is unrivalled by any other independent music promoter, which takes some of the pressure off selling tickets and lets bands focus more on the music.

                 Although we are still new, we are quickly developing a name for ourselves in the industry, with off the hook shows at venues such as The Reverb, Holy Joes, Reilly’s, The Smiling Buddha and Duffy’s Tavern. We also look forward to promoting some shows at The Boat, The Rivoli and The Supermarket. Our high standard of entertainment also means we have the best acts on our stages. We have put on shows for bands like Approaching Zero, Action League Now, Metheus Bound, Gavin Slate and Juno Award Nominee Justin Nozuka.
